Currently seeking a San Francisco based Senior Manager to contribute to firm’s continuing success and accelerating growth. The ideal candidate will possess 8+ years of experience and 5+ years with technical accounting subjects.
 
Responsibilities of the Advisory Senior Manager
 
  • Use knowledge and expertise of equity instruments and accounting to meet the technical needs of clients and provide quality control to team.
  • Partner with practice leadership to manage team operations.
  • Manage multiple projects at a time and coordinate appropriate staff.
  • Manage client expectations and deliver high quality solutions on time within scope and budget.
  • Provide insights into operational metrics of team’s performance.
  • Provide leadership and contribute to development of new processes/procedures for service delivery, development of templates, documentation of best practices, training base of the team, etc.
  • Mentor staff and significantly contribute to team/resource building.
  • Draft/review technical accounting position papers clearly, concisely, and accurately and reference all applicable accounting research.
  • Translate and document client requirements into financial statements and exhibits.
  • Interact with financial statement audit teams (technical positions, disclosures, etc.)
  • Assist with scoping, budgeting, and proposing new client opportunities.
  • 8+ years’ experience, 5+ years with technical accounting subjects.
 
Requirements of the Advisory Senior Manager
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Accounting, CPA highly preferred
  • 8+ years’ experience, 5+ years with technical accounting subjects
  • Excellent knowledge of share-based compensation accounting
  • Ability to work directly with clients, analyze risk, and determine solutions
  • Facilitation techniques to determine client business requirements/direct client teams in completing tasks
  • Excellent client management, consulting, communication, and leadership skills
  • Troubleshooting and analytical skills with ability to think “outside the box” to solve problems
  • Enthusiastic, positive-minded, customer focused, and service-oriented
  • Knowledge of equity systems (Shareworks, Equity Edge Online, Certent) preferred; proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to travel around the Bay Area
