Now Hiring:  Experienced Entrepreneur  & Technologist
 
Technology Executive with extensive entrepreneurial/ start-up experience leading software engineering and development teams in creating innovative products. Must have experience working with entrepreneurs taking ideas from ideation to launch as well as communicating with investors, clients, board members and fellow company leaders.  We’re seeking a true IT “Purple Squirrel” a leader that can roll up their sleeves with their development capabilities but who can also see the big picture and communicate with key clients internationally.  Think you’ve got the right stuff?  If so, we invite you to read on…

  1. Product Manager-Have you managed a successful development team? Do you know how to align product owners with developers, customers with expectations and the realities of constraints?
  2. Architect-Do you understand how to design solutions that scale, are maintainable and eliminate/reduce/maintain technical debt? Do you have a strong command of object-oriented principles, how to articulate and document solution designs? Are you functional in your development capabilities, front to back? Do you have a developer pedigree, command of object-oriented principles, domain design, issues of code quality (e.g. separation of concerns, substitution principles, etc.)?Can you help maintain reliable infrastructure for development, sales, marketing, operations? Are you familiar enough with DevOps and related toolsets to help assure smooth delivery lifecycles?
  3. Security and Compliance-Are you familiar with IT security policies, compliance (e.g. PCI) and can you help improve the security posture of all digital assets? Can you help facilitate SOC audits, assure compliance, respond to client requests for IT security policy compliance?
  4. Strengths in team building and recruiting technical talent are a plus but hands-on development skills are a MUST.

 Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead and/or drive all decision making of all technologies utilized within our software application suite.
  • Take ownership for the breakdown of software development work and the delivery of features and architecture.
  • Facilitate healthy engineering practices and processes that will enable the team and company to scale significantly.
  • Build an exceptional team of innovative software developers
  • Define and achieve target milestones with metrics for product delivery.
  • Establish coding and application standards and manage compliance.
  • Track, analyze and monitor technology performance metrics.
  • Oversee all system design and changes in the system.
 
Key Qualifications
  • Experience developing highly scalable web applications and services.
  • Experience building development teams
  • Prior leadership in fast-growing companies
  • 5+ years people management experience (leading development teams through multiple complete product development cycles)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • In-depth knowledge of web systems architecture, design, and development
  • Hands on experience with complex project management, Mobile applications, enterprise software, distributed development teams, user experience and web technologies.

***  The position is in central Florida, some relocation assistance is available.  Working remote is possible for the right candidate.
