RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • 25% General Accounting responsibility including overseeing financial records and the close process, managing quarterly and audit requirements and providing support and leadership for the accounting team
  • 75% Analyzing internal data and financial trends of the company while visioning and taking a deep dive into potential opportunities for future-state financial growth and navigation through industry trends that position the company for “best-in-class” services and results
  • Create Financial Reporting that best illustrates financial performance, goals and opportunities for current and future-state corporate positioning and success
  • Work with the leadership team to identify opportunities for cost savings, process streamlining and ensure audit and compliance
  • Prepare legal and regulatory filings, including tax and regulatory and multiple state tax filings
  • Key liaison with external auditors
  • Provide guidance on technical accounting issues and work closely with the business to provide support on specific accounting interpretations
  • Develop process, data and reporting to prepare the company for future SEC reporting (10-K, 10-Q and 8-K)
  • Ensure corporate accounting policies and procedures are up-to-date
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 10+ years progressive accounting experience with proven track record of success and leadership
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, MBA/CPA Preferred
  • Significant experience in developing and delivering complex financial reports and analysis
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP. Experience with SEC Reporting Requirements preferred
  • E-Commerce experience would be a great plus!
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever changing environment, providing insight and analysis to assist in leading the company proactively to be a market-leader in the industry
  • Excellent team skills with strong written and verbal communication ability
  • Possess significant examples of prior success with automation, process improvement, reporting and creative ideas which have been implemented and contribute to corporate success
