Job Description
Our client is a major apparel company that develops, sources and markets a diverse line of men’s & women’s apparel under its highly recognized signature brand.
Reporting to the SVP of Supply Chain, the person selected for this newly created leadership role will be responsible for leading Supply Chain operation functions and guiding operational efficiencies and supply chain cost effectiveness.  Leveraging best practices, this individual will support the company’s Supply Chain vision of providing solutions that continuously evolve in pace with the needs of the business.  The successful candidate will have expertise overseeing global Supply Chain operations, productivity and profitability, capacity, and growth. 

Major Responsibilities:
  • In a collaborative manner, the VP of Supply Chain Operations will focus on creating and implementing a global roadmap that will improve plant manufacturing productivity and profitability.  A priority for this position is longer-range scenarios, supply chain planning, as well as operations expense management.  This level of financial and operations analysis will play a key role in short term and long term decision making in order to continue to build a flexible and sustainable supply chain. 
  • Work directly with three other key functions: Quality, Strategic Sourcing/Procurement, and Manufacturing to develop strategies for supporting supply chain efficiency.  
  • Work with a small team of financial analysts dedicated to conducting financial and operational analysis in order to identify process improvement opportunities as well as track performance. 
  • Understanding macroeconomic and evolving global conditions, as well as risk mitigation and compliance, this position will optimize quality, cost of goods sold, flexibility, and service while working with leaders to enhance associate engagement.  
  • Must have 15+ years progressive leadership and strategy development experience which will include knowledge of end-to-end supply chain management.  
  • A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business/Finance, or related field is required.  MBA preferred.  
  • Key experience includes a strong understanding of financial data and the ability to design and implement process improvements.
  • Ability to sustain 50% travel (domestic and international).
Note: Relevant experience from the apparel industry is a must.
